With our own high-speed Photometric Stereo technology, this system can reproduce with high precision the fine relief, shading and even texture created by the brushstrokes of an oil painting. Three-dimensional expression that was hard to capture in 2D images is visualized as a 3D normal map.

Applications of this technology are expected in fields such as authenticating artworks and preserving cultural properties in three dimensions, and it is also drawing attention as a non-destructive, high-resolution digital archiving method.
