Technology Connecting the Region and the Future: Introducing TR-100 at the Tokyo Tsubame Networking Meeting

On November 22, our CEO Tomomi Sato attended the Tokyo Tsubame Networking Meeting (Tokyo Tsubame Koryukai). For many years, this gathering has brought together manufacturing companies from Tsubame City and engineers and executives from the Kanto region to share the latest technologies and solutions to their challenges. As a company whose roots lie in the manufacturing tradition of Tsubame City, Niigata Prefecture, we take part in this gathering and work to support technological innovation in the region.

The Possibilities TR-100 Opens Up

This year, we introduced our visual inspection system TR-100 at the venue. TR-100 is equipped with FORESIGHT STEREO, TOMOMI RESEARCH's proprietary technology, and E3 ENGINE, our AI-based anomaly detection engine, and can detect with high accuracy the fine scratches and surface irregularities that visual inspection and conventional technologies have tended to miss.
Able to handle glossy metal products and parts with complex shapes, TR-100 contributes to automating quality inspection, a major challenge at small and medium-sized manufacturers with high-mix, low-volume production.

For example, TR-100 helps solve challenges such as:

• Detecting scratches and irregularities on metal surfaces
• Detecting scratches and anomalies in transparent coatings
• Identifying fine defects on glossy parts

The demonstration on the day attracted strong interest, with participants telling us that it looked able to handle inspection items that had been difficult with conventional technology.

Shaping the Future of Industry Together with the Region

Through exchanges of views with manufacturing professionals from Niigata and Tsubame City, we shared the challenges and needs of local companies. This gave us ideas for further improving TR-100 and new ways in which TOMOMI RESEARCH can contribute to regional industry.
